Ardmel develops and manufactures activewear at our own facility in the Biyagama Export Processing Zone, Sri Lanka. We also build the bonding and seam sealing machines we run, so each construction is developed and sampled on the machines that will run it in bulk. Brands use us as their sportswear manufacturer for complete athletic wear styles, from leggings and sports bras to training jackets. Factories work with us to set the same processes up on their own lines.
Heat-activated adhesive film bonds hems, waistbands and necklines flat, so they stretch with the fabric and sit smooth against the skin.
Thread-free seams welded with high-frequency vibration on the SMS-600, for synthetic knits that need a clean, flexible finish.
Laser Cutting
Sealed, fray-free edges and precise perforations for ventilation zones, cut on Ardmel laser systems.
Heat-activated tape over flatlock or welded seams, for water-resistant running jackets and a smoother inside finish.

From Tech Pack to Bulk Production: How We Make Your Activewear
Tech Pack Review
We review your tech pack, fabrics and end use, and mark which seams, hems and trims suit bonding, welding or taping.
Fabric and Adhesive Trials
We test adhesive films and tapes on your fabric for bond strength, stretch recovery and wash durability before a sample is cut.
Sample Development
We make proto, fit and pre-production samples, adjusting the construction until the garment fits, moves and washes the way you need.
Bulk Production
Your styles run in our Sri Lanka facility on Ardmel machines, with settings recorded in a production SOP.
Quality Control on the Line
Machine settings are checked every two hours, with peel tests on bonded waistbands and hems, so bond quality holds through the run.

Can you work from our own tech pack and fabrics?
Yes. Send your tech pack and fabric. We check which constructions suit it, trial adhesives and tapes on the fabric, and develop samples from there.
Do you make sports bras and compression wear?
Yes. Bonded sports bras, compression tops and compression shorts suit our processes well, because bonding gives flat, stitch-free edges that sit close to the body.
How do you stop bonded activewear from peeling after washing?
We match the adhesive to the fabric, then test bonded samples through 5, 10, 25 or 50 wash cycles before bulk. In production, settings are checked every two hours so the bond stays consistent.
Do you make private label activewear?
Yes. We make custom sportswear, fitness apparel and workout clothing to your designs and specifications, under your own brand label.
Can you set up bonding in our own factory instead?
Yes. We supply the machines, adhesives and tapes, set the process up on your lines and train your operators, at your factory, at our Biyagama facility or remotely.
