Project Overview
Ardmel offers a complete solution for high-performance surfing kite bladders by integrating advanced seam sealing technology with customized adhesive systems. Using ultrasonic side-to-side bonding combined with heated top and bottom roller seam sealing, the seams are made smooth, flat, and leak-proof without damaging the fabric.
Complementing this, Ardmel’s ether-based and versatile adhesives are tailored for durability, UV resistance, and saltwater exposure, ensuring strong bonding and long-lasting performance. Together, the seam sealing process and allied adhesive solutions deliver superior strength, airtight integrity, and consistent quality, supporting both local and European bulk production requirements.
1. Client Challenge
2. Ardmel Solution
Ardmel introduced a side-to-side bonding method using advanced ultrasonic sewing technology to achieve a smooth finish and a flat seam appearance for kite bladders. To further enhance performance, Ardmel developed Eather-based adhesive solutions and provided specialized seam sealing tapes to improve seam strength and ensure airtight sealing. Alos, to avoid the fabric damage due to heat level of the seam sealing machines ardmel offer the heated top and bottom roller seam sealing machine without heater distribution though the nozzle.
Through multiple development stages and practical testing cycles, Ardmel successfully refined the solution by closely working with customer feedback and quality expectations. As a result, the customer was able to overcome durability and air leakage issues. Currently, the customer is carrying out bulk production for both local and European markets with consistent quality and improved product performance.
